A strategy using Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) & Hypnotherapy.
Have you ever wondered how great it would be not to like something (anything) that you’ve liked all your life (that you shouldn’t of)?
Many have asked me this very question. Why can’t I hate chocolate, ice cream, pizza or anything else?
Well, the short answer is: you can!
By using the powerful effects of Hypnotherapy and the mind-bending language of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP for short).
NLP is language created by Richard Bandler in the 1970’s. It is the language of behavior, communication and psychotherapy.
So how does it work?
To keep it simple: the trained therapist will ask you a group of questions regarding the item you no longer want to like. Comprised of mental images, feelings, emotions, smells and sounds. The Therapist will then ask you about something you truly hate – oddly enough most people mention liver! So, I ask, tell me about liver – what emotions are involved (usually gagging reflex) really bad taste, smells and texture.
I would then replace (switch) the good and the bad. So every-time you feel like eating chocolate, the memory of liver comes to mind, causing gaging reflex, excess saliva, nausea.
At that point you would no longer be craving chocolate!
