Does Hypnotherapy actually work on anxiety?
There are several studies available that indicate hypnosis changes the area of the brain that allows for greater emotional control.
Another study, conducted by the University of New Hampshire showed that Hypnotherapy can help a person better control and reduce feelings of anxiety, stress, and sadness.
Hypnotherapy is a very powerful tool to help create massive changes. These changes do not happen overnight and may take several weeks.
Stress and anxiety seem to be more prevalent now than ever before. Simply due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Being forced to stay indoors, isolated from friends and family, and not knowing what tomorrow will tomorrow bring. There is a lot of fear out there, some caused by the continuous new coverage or whatever information you find online.
How does Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnosis will help you relax, feel calm, and at ease. It will also help you go into a deeply focused state (similar to watching your favorite tv show/movie).
Once a deep trance is induced, the skilled Hypnotist will install new coding via powerful suggestions. There are many ways to do this. I personally use stories and metaphors that have coding within the sentences. Most of the time the client will simply enjoy the story and not even notice the suggestions installed in the background.
I use the word “skilled” in this article because there are far too many out there who have been trained via Google or YouTube. Sorry, but healing issues from reading a script is not acceptable and should be allowed. You cannot use a general script on everyone, each of us is vastly different and require customized care and attention.
Once the suggestions are properly put in place, the Hypnotist will test his/her work to ensure its effectiveness. If any issues arise, the suggestions can be reinforced and once again tested for accuracy.
In closing, hypnosis is a very powerful tool to help you overcome many behavioral issues.
